From a photo taken in the early 1900’s of Dodbrook, Millbrook. Village improvements and road widening saw the homes demolished, all but two remained, the cottages were scrubbed out. Dodbrook cottage, nee Fern cottage and Walkers cottage only remain but without its mighty chimney . Washed, scrubbed, scraped. Looking for the lit windows when winter and darkness descends.
